A new club HC Porto is joining up the Spanish league with Jim Aldred as head coach. Apparently a rink is to open in the city by the end of the year.

That's a 10 hour drive to Barcelona away games, crazy but nice to see a new team

Except FC Barcelona's rink closed over a year ago... they are now playing all their games on the road... well as long as the club got money to spare for its amateur sections...

Oskars Bartulis is playing with this team. He's still only 36 and playing in Portugal. The team is mainly Latvians..

Well, considering last spring's showing at the Development Cup, their opponents would just mop the floor with them if local players were the majority on the roster.

Hopefully Portuguese players get to train with them. This should already help them improve a bit.
