Matchups A, D and H I'm likely to flip flop on with voting, I just wanted to get a preliminary vote in on it. Not sold on my votes for any of those 3 at all.

@Scholarships please vote every matchup lol

Some tough matchups.

PHI/EDM and DAL/ARZ were 4 of my favourite teams and 2 gotta go out.

Also vote :canes because we stacked.

Pens have the edge in their top-6 C's, but Canes got the edge on wings, D and have a more proven starter too.

@m0pe, @uncleben, @nbonaddio.

I invite you all to correct the grave mistake that you've made.

You've allowed yourselves to get dazzled by Petterson - Pastrnak, ignoring the fact that my lines 2-4 and my entire defense is better.

Let's allow ourselves a peek at the matchups:

His top line is better. That I accept.

Tkachuk - Hertl - Vrana << Fiala - Scheifele - Bjorkstrand
Bura - Krejci - Gurianov < Eberle - Duchene - Toffoli
Mangiapane - Trocheck - Granlund = Nino - Henrique - Kase

Giordano - Hamilton < Slavin - McAvoy
Muzzin - Bear <<< Chychrun - Letang
Brodie - Faulk < Graves - Severson

Helle + Freddy = Bishop + Raanta

Apart from the top line, EDM is better.

How is Edmonton losing...?

Did my early voting last night but took a closer look at all matchups this morning when I had the time.

This was the one vote I switched.

It is VERY close and both are top teams. I think he has the clear edge on his top line, I think his PP would be LETHAL, and he has the edge in net.

But in a playoff series where defensive hockey often pulls through, I prefer your depth and more defensive style play.

Very close like I said, so if Edmonton loses it wouldn't be some crazy crime though.

Let us analyze...
J.T Miller - Elias Pettersson - David Pastrnak vs Jaden Schwartz - Patrice Bergeron - Dylan Larkin
Llama claims my team isn't defensive enough and yet this would be one of the best shut down lines in the league, Petey is a defensive beast, Miller had 2 hits a game and Pasta is known to play on the best two way line in the league. Not to mention Pettersson also had a hit a game... now for offence, well, rocket winner, one of the most creative players in the league, and elite complimentary player. You cannot contain this line

Tkachuk - Hertl - Vrana vs Fiala - Scheifele - Bjorkstrand
Brady Tkachuk: 303 hits in 71 games, positive Corsi, 44 points
Tomas Hertl: 36 points in 48 games, more dzone starts than ozone starts, positive corsi
Jakub Vrana: 52 points in 69 games, more dzone starts than ozone starts, 51% corsi

Kevin Fiala and Oliver Bjorkstrand are soft and get caved defensively, his only edge is Scheifele here, who had a negative corsi and needed nearly 60% ozone starts. My line can do it both ways, and yet again is more physical.

Bura - Krejci - Gurianov vs Eberle - Duchene - Toffoli
Llama claims his line is better here but thats a travesty, Burakovsky and Gurianov light the lamp at an amazing rate, Gurianov even leading his team. Now they have Krejci down the middle feeding them and it wouldn't be close. Not to mention Gurianov is good for at least a hit a game, something none of his guys can say. His line is more one dimensional here but also older, my guys underlyings show they'll likely breakout.

Mangiapane - Trocheck - Granlund = Nino - Henrique - Kase
I feel this is a fair assessment, though I have Eriksson Ek and Robertson in the wings.

Giordano - Hamilton vs Slavin - McAvoy
My guy won a norris recently and should've won the norris this year. Neither of his can say that. My top pair is better offensively and underrated defensively. His top pair can't contain Pasta/Petey. Gio plays more dzone minutes than ozone too, and blocks shots at a crazy rate. All while Dougie was near 50/50 and had over a hit and a block a game with crazy corsis.

Muzzin - Bear vs Chychrun - Letang
Yeah his pair is better overall but if you know Bear's potential all my pair has to do is play shut down hockey, thats their point. My pair is designed to be physical and hard to play against here, we all saw the leafs without Muzzin.

Brodie - Faulk vs Graves - Severson
Him saying his bottom pair is better is ridiculous, Brodie and Faulk can handle any usage and are more specialist types, while his guys are mostly defensive. Brodie is the physical element.

Helle + Freddy vs Bishop + Raanta
This isn't close, Hellebuyck is the best goalie in the league

@AveryStar4Eva vote, I need your appreciation for defensive minded hockey.
@AveryStar4Eva should know my guys play better defensive hockey, we have more defensive zone starts, out hit, out score, takeaway the puck better. You have a good 2nd pairing, whereas my 2nd pair is designed to play hard hockey. Joke's on you, I ran a ton of my picks by Avery!

Edit: @AveryStar4Eva I'm disappointed in you bro

With all due respect, this means absolutely nothing outside of fantasy leagues. You are way overvaluing the value of hits (nevermind that the difference is literally three hits)
I’m just showing his team is no more physical then mine

If I lose I get why, I should’ve drafted a different style defence, more like I did last game. I just felt confident in this style this time around.

Philly, Edmonton, Dallas and Arizona are all in my top 5

Whoever loses in that matchup is getting the short end of the stick regardless. Both were in my top 3.

Hits don't necessarily translate to physical play.
