This. He may have a better NHL career than Fetisov, but that's a completely different discussion.

Fetisov is quite possibly a top ten defenceman ever and was possibly the best defenceman in the world for a few years in the early 80s. That's a very tall, unrealistic order for Provorov.

Was thinking the same thing. It's crazy unfair to compare a 20 year old kid to a top-10 D of all time. Provorov is very talented though. With his style and personality, he looks like Ray Bourque's illegitimate son.

At Provorov's age Fetisov already was the best Soviet defenseman (alright, probably tied with Vasilyev) and one of the best in the world.

I am the biggest Provorov fan but lets relax a little, and stop comparing him to someone like Fetisov. I do however think he will easily be the best blueliner in his draft year; he is just amazing and so cool on the ice.

No. Fetisov is clearly a Top-10 D of all-time, and in my opinion, he's Top-7. So, no, absolutely not. And I'm a Flyers fan who loves Provorov.
