Watching them in the Vancouver - Seattle series I'd say Hickey has the higher upside. Both of them might be an adventure on defense at the next level. But both have a very good offensive game.
Hickey. Just a better player. Moderately bigger, better skater, possibly the best transition defenseman in the draft.
Blum is definitely better in his own end. That being said, I'd take Blum over Hickey without thinking twice.
