Here are some general tips and guidelines that will help you along your way.
To Post an Image:
Click the little
button in the post response window and insert the image address. Alternatively, you can use [ IMG ] and [ / IMG] tags surrounding an image address (without the spaces) in the tags. You must post the direct URL to the image for this to work.
To post a tweet/video/whatever:
Twitter specific: Click the little
image in the response box and include only the number in the tweet's URL. For example, if you want to post this tweet: https://twitter.com/GoldenKnights/status/878445769010933760 You would take the 878445769010933760 and put it in [ Tweet ] tags like so: [ Tweet ] 878445769010933760 [/Tweet] (again, without the spaces in the tags.)
Youtube and other videos are just like that, click the specific button for that service or use the tags with only the "unique" portions of the URL inside the tags. More detail is available here: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/misc.php?do=bbcode
How to report a post:
It happens. People will post stuff that isn't great and is in violation of the rules (which are found here: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_board_faq#faq_forum_rules ) If that should happen, please report the post using the
symbol that's found on each post and one of your friendly Las Vegas (or sitewide) moderators will check it out. Once we check it out, we'll either edit it, delete it, or leave it alone. Please don't respond or get into a fight with the poster. Don't get yourself into hot water trying to moderate the discussion.
Quoting multiple posts:
Sometimes you'd like to respond to more than one post at a time. In those cases, please click the
button under each post to which you'd like to respond and then hit the
button, and you're home free.
Disclaimer:
None of these processes really applies to the mobile version of the site. Assuming you've got a decent phone/tablet, the desktop version works (and looks) better on your phone anyway, use the desktop version.
