What a garbage take.

Samuel Sjolund is a much more ELITE name than Ben Brinkman whose just a poor mans Bobby Brink.

Your name rankings are bad and you should feel bad.

- <- that's a negative to reverse the sign of the "like" I gave you to a "dislike" (also, it's bold, so "DISLIKE"). Hard consonants sound nicer than soft ones, so Brinkman is higher than Sjolund (also, what the hell sound is "Sj", learn to spell silly Swedes).

Only way a player could be rated higher is with double P's, like Petrus Palmu here. Nill should make sure to include that kid as part of the Loui Eriksson trade he's undoubtedly working on.

Stenqvist and then Sjolund. I'm not voting for him cause he's 25, but I'm kinda shocked Djuse is still here. Could be in the NHL this season at some point

None of us know anything about Djuse, hard to rank him.

This point in the rankings is interesting, because really Djuse and Heatherington SHOULD be there, because they will see the NHL/have seen the NHL.. whereas the others are highly unlikely to ever reach the NHL. Seems most of us at this point are ranking top end potential, however unlikely, as our basis.

But we know so much about the rest?

Yeah if you're not lazy.:sarcasm:

JK I haven't been able to find anything about Djuse. If we had signed him early in the year I would've watched at least a game or 2 of his to get a feel for what type of defensemen he is.

Dude barely has highlights at all either.

Djuse is definitely getting underrated. It's strange to see some complete longshots come in ahead of a guy who led his SHL team in ice time and skates at an NHL level. He is 25 though about to turn 26, so just like Bayreuther maybe he's not being fairly considered as a prospect. Don't be fooled by his undrafted free agent status. If a 3rd round pick ends up as good as Djuse, it is considered a success. All of these recent bottom rounders should never be considered ahead of a guy like Djuse until they impress in their respective D+1 seasons.

I think Djuse is the one that fell down but won the race anyway. DBD has an article with some highlights. Here is the video where he's racing Arvidsson.

There's no arguing your points from my end. I would just add that him being 25 and the extensive time they scouted him and are just now getting around to signing him are what makes him polarizing for me.

Literally the only reason for me not voting Djuse is that once a player hits 25 they are removed from my prospect list. I did the same with Bayreuther.

Despite both of them likely playing more NHL games than half the players on the list, I just don't consider them prospects anymore. (maybe having a guy like Gusev in our system would change my mind on that)

I'd rather if we all used the same criteria because the list suffers if we don't. Maybe next time we can set the cutoff at 24. I wouldn't mind that.

I set the criteria at 25 and under with less than 30 NHL GP from the very beginning. If people disagree with that, that's on them, not me.
