Line Combos: HFPens Decides - 22/23 - Extra Forward

Poll #13a: Given the current HFPens lineup, who do you want to see as the Extra Forward? Vote for what you want to see. Write in votes for players that the Penguins already have acquired are welcome but if you vote twice neither of them will be counted.

Some assumptions and rules:

1. You are to vote for what you want to see -- not what you expect the coaches to do.
2. Crosby and Malkin are the top two centers.
3. Jarry is the starter and DeSmith is the backup.
4. Options will be based on (August 19, 2022) health. All seem to be healthy.
5. Unless listed as a 'LD/RD' on CapFriendly the defensemen will play on their "correct" side. This means Rutta, Ty Smith, Friedman, and Ouellet can play either side.
6. I will not be listing players for positions they have not played at the NHL/AHL level. For example, I will not be listing Hallander as an option for the third line center. But DOC and Zohorna will be options for 3C.
7. Due to the amount of one-way contracts, I may not be able to include everyone as voting options. Feel free to write them in as a vote, though.
8. A majority vote is not needed to win. But we may have runoff polls if I deem the numbers to be too close.
9. I will be working my way "down" the lineup. If the cap is exceeded at a 22-man roster that is where the polls will end.
10. Petry is the 2 RD.

I went with Zohorna even though I was pretty disappointed with his AHL performance last season. But then he did well in the NHL. The opposite of what DOC did even though I like DOC more.

Zohorna has played well every game he's in the NHL, he's got size, he's LW/C and he's defensively aware. I'm not sure what else people want in the extra forward besides memeability.

I want him as 3rd wheel for G... So don't lump me in with the other crowd. I'm insane in the opposite direction regarding this player.

I don't know if I want Z on L2 yet or anything, but I'd like to see some thinking about putting him on L3 with Kap and Carter and sending Rakell to Sid's RW.

I agree he'd be nice there. But I look at G's line needing help from a 3rd guy as a puck possession/D presence that has some skill.

Z has flashed all of that. I just want a few games of it if Z hits camp looking fast and aggressive. That's a move that if it clicked immediately puts this team into contention IMO.

I know what to expect out of the Zuckers and Heinens of the world. It's OK but I want to see something untested that could produce better results. If it sucks? It's early, and at least you know.
