I just refreshed about a minute after the last pick was made, so I get to look ultra-quick ( that's what she said).

In an effort to find the next Minnesota product, our marketing department has requested that I draft, from Lakeville North High School, D Jack Sadek.

I'm going to go because I'm up and want to finish this, with their final pick in the mock draft, the Winnipeg Jets are happy to select RW Lukas Jasek, Trinec.

Ranked 23rd by NHL central scouting for EU skaters. A two-way guy with some nice skill.

With that, The Winnipeg Jets are done:

1a. D Jakub Zboril
1b. C Joel Eriksson-Ek
2. RW Nikita Korostelev
3. D Jonas Siegenthaler
4. C/RW Andrew Mangiapane
6. C Denis Malgin
7a. D Vili Saarijarvi
7b. D Will Borgen
7c. RW Lukas Jasek

All in all I'm pretty happy with the draft. 6 guys mentioned on Bob's list, nice mix of size, skill and potential in there.

With their final pick of the draft, the Minnesota Wildare happy to select, from the Charlottetown Islanders, D David Henley.

With solid hockey bloodlines in Quebec, David is the third of three Henley brothers to play in the QMJHL. Older brother Samuel won the 2014 President's Trophy as a member of the Val d'Or Foreurs, a team David was traded from at mid-season that year.

Now that I'm done drafting, time to take a look at my results:

STL
2-58 F. Ahl* F
4-94 - S. Montembault G
4-118 S. Dove-McFalls F
5-127 V Tkachev F
5-148 V Gavrikov D
6-178 M. Joseph F

MIN
1-20 P. Bittner F
2-50 N Noel F
4-111 J. Massie D
6-171 D. Godla G
7-201 J. Sadek D
7-204 D. Henley D

Not the most balance for either club, but I figured Minny needed high-end forwards and defensive depth, and drafted accordingly. For St. Louis, I was unsure of organizational need, but history shows they don't shy away from skilled forwards, and drafted accordingly. I know the CHL and QMJHL best, and my bias shows, but I think I hit the needs pretty closely.

A couple lucky surprises here and there, and a couple picks I might like to have back, but on the whole, I'm happy with the results.

Quick Side note: In the real draft, I'd love for Edmonton to use Montreal's 4th on Sam Dove-McFalls. He's a C/LW who projects to be a 3rd liner, with 2nd line upside. One of the best PK players on the Sea Dogs this past season, looking at an expanded role on a better team next year.

With its seventh round selection, the Chicago Blackhawks are going balls deep with D Olivier Galipeau!

I thought it was worth taking a chance as he was 59th in the midterm rankings.

I'll nominate Askew again since we are over the time limit.

Sorry about missing my last pick. Was travelling this weekend. But not a bad nomination.

And with that the San Jose Sharks have completed their draft selections.

...and with the 209th pick of the HFOil Mock Draft :bolts are proud to select, from Cape Breton in QMJHL, russian winger Maxim Lazarev!

CAP_Lazarev20141531431.png

Not sure why there's so little hype around this kid. Had 80 points this year and has produced everywhere he has gone. I wouldn't be surprised if has a monster season next year and makes the WJC team. Could be Tampas next 7th round steal
