Have some bad contracts that arent too long term that you need to dump to free up cap space to make that deal that puts you over the top? Well the wings have the cap, and are willing to use some of it aslong theres an extra piece to add thats worth taking on your deadweight. We can also include any contracts you may need to shuffle around to accomidate a deal for one of our better players.

The Wings have moved out Martin Hanzel and their 4th. Returning is fellow deadweight contract Jere Lathera, 4th line center Byron Frose, potential top 6 dman Paul Ledue, and DET 3rd 2019.

The biggest 2 pieces being we move up in the draft and adding a young 5/6 dman down the road in Ladue.

Players on the block.

Nick Leddy
Michael Stone
Thomas Hickey
Ryan Spooner
Gustav Nyqvist

Bump this up with round 1 and most of the bigger names gone. Players still availible for trade.

Willing to eat salary for the right price if you over cap or close.

Hickey and Det 5th have been moved

Coming back is Johnny Boychuk and a 3rd 2019

Who hits the block right away.

With 99% of the big free agents gone nows times to talk.

Trades should be either me taking on cap or neutrul if possible.

Can take on deadweight if you need to move players at roster cap aswell

Ryan Spooner has been dealt the return.

Nicholas Baptise a skilled winger who we hope can fill a top 9 role next season, long term prospect Jayce Hawrylk, and a 3rd in 2019. This move further bolsters our prospect cupboard aswell as adds another day 1 pick next year.

Next gone was Nick Leddy and a 5th in 2020

Returning is bruising depth defender Radko Gudas, and Colorados 1st. We now head into 2019 draft class with 3 firsts, a 2nd and 3 thirds.

To this point its likely most of our moves are done minus minor deals are we are too close to the cap floor and the Overall floor. We are still willing to eat bad contracts, if the price is right to make sense.
