Nashville started the 2018/19 season with no picks in the top 4 rounds. They were able to add picks in the first, second and third round respectively and headed into the draft with a total of 6 picks. Apparently the Predators scouting staff wasn't particularly impressed with the 2019 draft, which may be the reason no further attempts were made to improve the draft position.

Here are your newest Nashville Predators:

Round 1, 27th overall, F Samuel Poulin
NHL: Round 1, 21st overall, Pittsburgh Penguins
A versatile, skilled player with a heavy game, Poulin is a rather safe bet to play in the NHL. Scouts say he needs to work on his skating which will ultimately define his upside.
Comparable: Ryane Clowe

Round 2, 43rd overall, D Lassi Thomson
NHL: Round 1, 19th overall, Ottawa Senators
A quick rearguard with an accurate and hard shot, Thomson is heading back to his native Finland after a year in western Canada playing for the Kelowna Rockets. Defense and decision-making in his own end will need to improve for him to count as a steady NHL defenseman one day.
Comparable: Matt Dumba without the physicality

Round 3, 91st overall, F Ethan Phillips
NHL: 4th round, 97th overall, Detroit Red Wings
A very talented and speedy forward Phillips is as slight as they come. Will hone his skills at the University of Boston and if he can add some bulk to his frame he could have a very good NHL career.
Comparable: Derek Ryan

Round 6, 167th overall, G Roddy Ross
NHL: Round 6, 169th overall, Philadelphia Flyers
A rookie in the WHL for the Seattle Thunderbirds, Ross did not come into the league before half the season was already played. But he absolutely left his mark in the games he played in the second half. With enough patience and development, he might be a hidden gem.
Comparable: Adin Hill

Round 6, 169th overall, F Keighan Gerrie
NHL: undrafted
A canadian forward who played in the depths of the Junior A Leagues and is going the NCAA route. Will play next year in the NAHL and then move on to Bowling Green University. The road is a long one, but the kid will be interesting to watch.

Round 7, 200th overall, D Kalle Loponen
NHL: Round 7, 204th overall, Toronto Maple Leafs
Loponen falls in line with the finish defensemen the Predators have drafted in recent years, starting with Sami Vatanen in 2009. A smart, do-it-all defenseman on the small side, with the ultimate upside to make it to the NHL.
