Well. The season has started very strong for the HFNHL Ducks as they continue with their rebuild/retool. Thanks to Draisaitl and his Hart trophy pace.

In light of this, the Ducks are looking to solidify themselves on d and in net. But not with older veterans.

To meet this objective, we are willing to move out the 2020 Wpg 2 and the 2019 3 of Phil and Nashville and the 2020 Van 3. No Ana picks in 2020 are available, as they may use for an offer sheet.

Further, if a deal makes sense we would consider moving top d prospect Cal Foote, but the price would be high.

Well that progressed quickly.

The HFNHL Ducks objective of retooling their roster to players under the age of 27 has rapidly moved forward, while it did cost some younger assets as well.

Now into the roster are:
Vladislav Namestnikov
Nino Niederreiter
Shayne Ghostisbehere
Travis Hamonic (slightly older but barely)

Currently on the block are:
Anders Lindback (to anyone who needs a goalie)
David Schlemko

Things teams are currently asking about:

2020 First round pick. Currently being held on to for offer sheet puposes, however it could be available for younger players.

2020 Second round picks (3). These have significant value and will not be moved for older players. The 2020 draft looks promising and with another round of expansion on the horizon, these picks could have increased value too.

Brady Tkachuk. So many have tried and few have come close. Would take alot as I would have taken him second ahead of Svechnikov in the draft. He's not going anywhere for older players.

Dillon Dube. Last years world juniors sensation and Flames preseason upstart. He has progressed this year and Calgary has the luxury of having him in the AHL. He would not come cheap as we view him as a future top six scorer.

After the ASG, we will re-assess players such as Chris Kunitz, who has value for a contending team and has slid down our depth chart.

With the injury to Schlemko for a month, the HFNHL Ducks are seeking a bottom 3 d-man. Willing to move Cagguila or Kassian in a deal for a D, or a pick.

HFNHL Ducks have been busy lately, acquiring D Justin Schultz and Danny Dekeyser, top penalty killer Jay Beagle and prospects old man Koskinen and young men Ryan McLeod and Graham McPhee. Though they did need to move Dube in the deal, McLeod is someone the Ducks tried hard to move up and take again in last June's draft.

Rumours swirling that the Ducks have been looking into a top player under the age of 25 as well. We shall see if anything materializes.

The Ducks cap structure is shaping up well for next season.

As the all-star break is approaching, we will add Chris Kunitz to the block.
