The Capitals are looking to shake up their roster and have exposed a few players for trades to contenders.

Colin Wilson - plays all 3 positions and would make a fantastic addition for a contender. 72 overall and signed only through this season.

Marcus Folingo - 99 CK rating and 82 ST, would make a great addition to a team that is looking for a bit more physicality in their bottom six.

Sam Reinhart - this is a bit of a buy low situation for a player with a lot of unrealized upside. he's not going to be given away, but if there are any hockey trades out there that make sense for a similar profile player we'd be willing to listen to offers.

Justin Schultz - offense from the blueline seems to be the hardest thing to find in the current sim, and Schultz brings a lot. solid top 4 option.

Washington is looking for future based assets for a lot of these players. Preferably forwards over defense, as we feel comfortable with our current stable of defenders moving forward.

With the trade of Colin Wilson, Washington is making a few more players available in trade.

Johnny Oduya - great 4th or 5th for a playoff bound team at a reasonable price. likely to retire after the season but not a disaster even if he doesn't. having a strong season for a player of his profile.

Keri Lehtonen - at $5 million per season, he's an expensive 1b starter but he will rate strongly after this season for next year as well. a good hedge bet candidate with the volatility at the position if you have the cap room. not asking the moon here.

Richard Panik - a somewhat disappointing followup season for Panik has encouraged me to listen to offers. a reasonable low risk gamble.

Frank Vatrano - a change of scenery in a trade to Florida could spark him. Washington's winger surplus makes him somewhat expendable.

Ryan Murphy, Brad Hunt, Kevin Connauton are also on the trade block. Christian Folin as well. Most of these guys will make solid bottom pairing players next season.
