The Habs are looking to shed some salary and acquire picks in the upcoming draft.

The following players are on the block:

Dan Girardi: pending UFA, but will be auto-signed if not moved. Looking for a late 1st or comparable prospect/young player.

Christian Ehrhoff: pending UFA, but will be auto-signed if not moved. Looking for a 2nd or comparable prospect/young player.

Marian Gaborik: 1 year left at 7.5. Looking for a 3rd or comparable prospect/young player.

Jiri Hudler: pending UFA, but will be auto-signed if not moved. Looking for a 3rd or comparable prospect/young player.

Patrik Elias: pending UFA, will not be re-signed. Looking for a 5th, but willing to accept less if no other offers come around.

Michael Ryder: pending UFA, will not be re-signed. Looking for a 7th.

Raffi Torres: 1 year left at 2.5. Looking for a 7th.

Zbynek Michalek: pending UFA, will not be re-signed but can be auto-signed for one more year at 4M. Looking for a 5th, but willing to accept less if no other offers come around.
