Spezza is off the trade block. After feeling a couple offers I've decided to move forward with Spezza as our #1C as his play speaks for itself.

It was very tough to give up Kesler but I'm getting two top 6 forwards in return, including one with great potential remaining in Hodgson. Hurt a bit to give up Hansen who is a pretty great grinder but Stafford is a better player and fills a need (top 6 true RW). Alberts and a 2nd is nada to give up for Pysyk, who is a very nice D prospect to have in the system, Vancouver's D pool was shallow.

Good trade gentlemen.

It was too hard for me to pull the trigger on spezza but it would've been nice having Hodgson coming in for the future.

Kind of funny to bring Hodgson back to the Canucks, that would never happen IRL...

Haven't played a game with this new roster yet but I'm excited to do so, Burrows and Booth are now on my third line (stacked)

I find in NHL 14 depth is more important. The third line is more important anyways. Fourth is still questionable on everyone's roster haha.

Literally all my friends on other leagues tried to get STL.
