Norlinder was voted 3rd back in November, Ylonen back in December.

Results would likely be different if we restarted today, but usually this is done in the summer after the draft before games are played.

The top 10 were made before the season started.

MB listed Norlinder as an untouchable in the same sentence as Romanov and Caufield.

We have to remember Norlinder got injured and it impacted his game for a while. Even then, 0.3 ppg is not bad in the SHL for a U21 D. The only 3 D doing significantly better are Lundkvist, Seider and Johansson.

Norlinder has had a fine year and before Ylonen came over to the AHL, everyone was knocking him down too for not progressing in the Finnish league.

Norlinder hasn't had the kind of offensive year many were predicting.

But good to hear you've seen/heard he's having a "fine" year... why do you characterize it as fine?

he's one of the top goal scorers among U-21 blueliners in the SHL, that's more then fine imo

He had some injuries which made it difficult for him to gain traction but he was still very productive for a first year SHL defenseman and is really strong when compared to similar aged d
