i’m not grading based on last year...if i was, hall wouldn’t be #1 because he only played 33 games. it’s supposed to be who the best player on the team is, so hall is #1 and subban is #2. it’s somewhat close, but homerism is making it seem a lot closer.

i agree that nico is underrated around the league, but i don’t see how that’s relevant. nico is #3 now, and with a breakout year he possibly can be #2 next year. he’s only 20

That a fair point, but when it comes to an elite player having a down year, I usually give them the benefit of the doubt, unless it’s repeated again the next year.

Meh. He's signed. If people want to vote for him, I'm fine with that.

He has a point.

I think there are certain players that it's okay to rank Hughes over as of right now, but since he hasn't played a pro game yet, I don't think it's fair to rank him in the top 5 or so players on the team. At least not as of this very moment, if not only based on the fact that he has no track record at the NHL/pro level.

EDIT : Nevermind. I see the poll in what SHOULD BE the #3 edition (not #4) of the Current players poll where Nico and PK are tied at T-2.
