As I write this there are 18 votes for Podkolzin suddenly coming out of nowhere. That's quite early for him and quite sudden given how few votes he was getting up until tonight. I'm suspicious.
yeah no, Im DQing him.

I verified the posters who voted and theyre mostly all inactive users, but were all active between 4-5 AM EST this morning...... Some Nucks homer/Russian hacker clearly did something.

Mods, you might want to get on that.

Does anyone else think some of the defensemen from this draft class are getting a bit underrated?

I'd have Hughes and Clarke pretty comfortably as the top two guys remaining.

I don't really think we're at the underrated portion of this ranking yet. The three players with the most votes (given amnesiac's DQ of Podkolzin) are Lundkvist (who, while undersized, was named the SHL D-man of the year last year and in general has been great since he was drafted), and Rossi and Perfetti who both were ranked in the 5-10 range before last year's very strong draft.

At this stage, all prospects are still clear blue-chip prospects.

hard to say.... this wasnt a deep draft, and prospects in their draft year are not as proven as those in their D+1.

Not really, I can see quite a few noteworthy prospects on that list. I can see Hughes, Edvinsson, and Clarke going in the next 5-10.

Lundvist won the Salming trophy for best Swedish defensemen which is different but still nice.

I'm a Canucks fan and high on Podz but I still took Rossi.

But hey if Luke Hughes had been drafted by the Canucks he would already be in the top 10.
