So Monahan play driving results dies away from Gaudreau while although his production is still 1st line rate. It interesting that Gaudreau without Monahan outproduce Monahan with Gaudreau at 5v5.

Lindholm always been above possesion player even in Carolina although his rel stats were negative. However Lindholm's production does ineed skyrocket when he plays with Gaudreau. Like it takes a giant leap. His raw production went from mid 40s to high 70s due to playing with Gaudreau, pp and insane secondary assist luck.

From this we can see that Gaudreau drives the play better. He also elevates his teammates much more than Draisaitl. It proven that Draisaitl can't drive his own line yet. I think Drai is a very good 1st liner but he is no superstar. Ultimately I would take Gaudreau over Draisaitl.

You also have to keep in mind that when Draisaitl is not playing with McDavid, he's playing with some pretty crappy players compared to the flames depth. That will hurt his stats.

I would bet my house, my car and all my clothes that if both were switching teams and situations that Gaudreau has zero chance to even hit 60pts with Lucic, Rieder, Russell, Benning on the ice with him.
That´s the most stupid narrative on these boards that can´t drive a line (sure he is no Crosby who can make garbage around him to solid players)...he has always excels in all teams as a C, even when McD was out for 4 games last year (I know small sample size) he was a beast on his line and has putted up points...Sure he benefits from McD, but the other three on the ice at the same time are mostly AHLers or bottom NHL player while Gaudreau has elite Dman´s and solid to good linemates with him on the ice. It´s almost like they were playing shorthanded at some times...
I will stop now here because people here will always try to find ways to discredit some players.

I have to point something out here.

P/60 tend to reduce the more minutes are played, it can start really high by having some streaky moment during those minutes.

600 minutes without Monhan and Its only 0.03 more and in 99% of player cases it drops when the minutes are close to 3000 which is 5 times more. I bet If you can provide a game by game graph of p/60 in both situations it is what you can see happens


Also im not saying that Gaudreau isnt good, but his team is really deep compared to Oilers. After Mcdavid and Draisaitl the depth of Oilers is significantly weaker, then again Gaudreau has still some pretty good support. Giordano is also a big support that the Oilers and Draisaitl dont have.
