Interesting so far how the first poll(Hedman as top d man) was by far the most decisive.

Interesting so far how the first poll(Hedman as top d man) was by far the most decisive.

I don't have it listed, but I think the key here is the difference between 1 and 2 (or 3 or so on) for each poll. There were only a few "real" options at the top, so it was easy. Now, the spread is much larger and 5-10 players could reasonably get a quality number of votes.

It's too tedious to comb through each thread and find the number of votes, but that'd be interesting to look at.

What oh just said makes perfect sense. Poll being done before all the nominations to add more. Ahhhhhh still though. That’s pretty dadgum decisive.

True. There were 20 options, but many simply weren’t (and still aren’t) good options.

You have to add Erik Gustafsson, he scored 60 points!

Dahlin is a generational defenceman with no holes in his game, who outscored almost all of the players left and is better defensively too. He is the best 18 year old defenceman in a very long time.

No holes? Did you ever watch him in his own zone? The several games I saw each featured at least a handful of gaffes defensively. No one is denying his skill, but he’s certainly not a “no holes” type of defender currently.

Wouldn't really agree to that at all. He made a few errors but certainly not more than anyone else on this list.

Heiskanen should be getting consideration soon.

Not at all, he is by far the worst of the ones left. His points, +- and defensive stats are extremely far below most of the people left, almost all. Heiskanen would go around 60-70.

But Dahlin is top 20?

Nothing adds up about this argument.

Your posts towards the Dahlin/Heiskanen debate are hilarious I nearly choked on my supper and died.

Holy cow have people not seen Pesce play before? Really should've been gone by now. Him and Slavin are on about the same level and some nights Pesce will handily outplay him.
The groupthink just decided Slavin is the better of the two.
