People are sleeping on PK Subban.

2 years ago he had a fantastic playoff run - was Nashville's best skater in a SCF matchup. Arguably Conn Smythe favorite for Nashville (maybe Rinne, but his finals wasn't very good).
1 year ago he was a Norris finalist.
last year - obviously it was a bad season, full of injuries, and some inconsistencies. But come playoff time when he was healthy again - I'm pretty sure he was again Nashville's best player.

Maybe at 30 years old you don't argue Subban as a top 3-5 defenseman in the league anymore as he was a few years ago - but to me at 10 he should be in already.

I'd be shocked if he's not a Norris finalist this coming season. I expect a huge bounceback season from him

I feel like Letang and Carlson have been slept on. They've been the #1 Dman of 3 of the last 4 cup winners. Didn't Letang have a good year too?

Letang ALWAYS gets underrated. He was in the running for the Norris this year (likely wouldn't have won, but was in the running) before injury. Yet HF always acts like guys who've done less than him are better (I'm looking at you, Roman Josi).

You laugh at Klingberg being a top 10 D but you think Suter is one?

Weird flex but ok.
Have you ever actually dug into their respective advanced stats and compared Suter to Klingberg? They actually score at very similar rates 5v5.

Klingberg is simply not an all situations #1D. It's a joke that people are voting for him as a top 10 dman. He scores a lot on a PP w/ Benn/Seguin/Radulov but doesn't even PK. Heiskanen averaged more shTOI than Klingberg last year FFS. Suter plays all situations, eats the most minutes of any dman in the league (led the NHL in aTOI last year), and plays excellent defense while doing it. Not to mention the fact that Suter is borderline indestructible.

If you can look past the flashy offensive plays and fully appreciate both players taking into account factors like volume/quality of minutes played and quality of competition/teammates...its Suter by a f***ing mile.

I feel like subban being 'the man' again in new Jersey is gonna see him vault back up these rankings next year.
