Went with Malkin, but it's a toss-up between him and Bergeron for me.

I feel like Stamkos isn't getting enough love, either. He set a career high in points last season and finally looked to be back to his old self. I think the biggest argument against him is his teammates, which is valid, but he's absolutely still a very high-level player.

Bergeron then Barkov then Matthews

At 8 you could argue Eichel, Scheifele, Tavares, Seguin, Stamkos, Point, Aho, etc

I think the biggest knock is the playoffs, where he's just never lived up to his regular season performance.

Oh, and add Pettersson.

There's a handful of options already up there that I take Pettersson over right now.

I have to go with Bergeron. What that man is capable of at both ends of the ice is a rare combo.

Bergeron: forever underrated

Dude is legit one of the best overall players in the league. As someone who loves Sasha Barkov, he still can’t hold Bergeron’s jock quite yet.

Outside of the big three, McDavid, Crosby and MacKinnom... Bergeron and Malkin round out the top 5 centre on the planet.
