As part of joining the site and when the Terms of Service change, you've all familiarized yourself with the site rules. If there's still some bits and pieces that are confusing, the site rules can be found here. If you have any questions about it, you can message @Egblad @Chaos2k7 for local mods, or @Fenway who's our mod supervisor. Below I'll leave some important bits of the rules to keep in mind:

Forum management and reporting posts

If your post disappears, it's been looked at by a moderator and removed. Do not repost it or start critiquing the mods on the open forum for doing so, this can lead to a warning or/and thread ban. If you wish to know why it happened, you can PM one of the mods.

If you see posts that break forum rules, you can use the report function that's found in every post. Reporting posts is confidential and alerts other mods to take action when the locals aren't around. While you are helping us out, please don't respond to the post you've reported, that just creates more work for us. Every report is looked at and the mods take approriate action.

Don't be a jerk to other posters (flaming)

We have posters with various different views and opinions, from all kinds of different backgrounds and nationalities. Disagreeing on things is fine, but treat others with respect and keep the conversation civil. Any kind of flaming or bullying will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning or/and thread ban depending on the severity.

GDTs and opposing fans (trolling)

First off for opposing fans, even if you have good intentions at heart, posting in our GDT when emotions are running high isn't the greatest idea. Be respectful and really think through before posting. We will allow respectful opposing posters to take part in the discussion before and after the game, but we prefer to avoid it during the game. Trolls will get automatically thread banned, and warned depending on the situation.

For our posters, I'd give the same advice vice versa, be respectful if you go there. If you do find something hurtful in the opponent's GDT (attendance jokes, relocation, bad hockey market, etc.), don't bring that over to our board and start mocking them for it.

That's all, thank you for being part of our community!
