 The Wild are so hysterically mediocre. No Tarasenko, terrible backup in net on the road and the Blues just sleepwalk through an easy victory.

Interesting.
3 games, in all away team is up by one.
Home teams all tie game in last minute.
Away teams all win it in OT.

(PIT-WAS, FLA-CHI,STL-MIN).

has that ever happened?

It's weird finally having the shoe on the other foot, isn't it?

It’s actually crazy to see the role reversal. Oilers making the playoffs and the Flames trading away useful players only to see them excel elsewhere. That’s probably where the comparisons end though as the Oilers can actually win in the first round when they get to the playoffs.

Before the playoff run for the Oilers, McDavid was NINE when the Oilers last played a playoff game. That's brutal.

First round exits are rough and a speciality of the Flames, but it's a lot more fun to cheer for teams like that than the decade + of the hockey the Oilers played.

If Edmonton stopped flopping all over the ice they might get a call or two more

And all those years resulted in them getting two of the best in the game right now, who are pretty fun to watch and cheer for. Meanwhile Flames are heading into the dark ages. Flames also had a stretch where they didn’t make the playoffs for 7-8 years.

Has to be concerning that Edmonton can’t do anything without loading up a single line, no depth at all

Ineptitude is never something to brag about or be happy with no matter the result. You really wouldn't say the same thing about the Flames if they had FOUR first overall picks and fluked into the best player of a generation? Nobody's looking at the Oilers as a model of anything, least of all how to build a successful franchise lol. I can't be mad though.
