Canucks outplayed the Leafs tonight, Demko has been good but isn't the reason they won tonight.

he damn near made 40 saves in another game they got outshot

as we saw vs Vegas, you can outshoot VAN but this guy is a difference maker and game changer

That seems to be the trend. He has a lot work to do outside of goal scoring.

He has to work on his playmaking skills but besides that hes about as complete of a player you could ask. He’s clearly injured right now hence not playing his regular position on the PP

Not like the Leafs had a ton of high danger scoring chances tonight. I think he "won" them the last game though (as in the Leafs were the better team).

LOL "Rinse and repeat" because that happens so often.. Didn't the habs sweep the leafs last season?

the leafs winning 2 out of 3 games against the habs is enough for their fanbase to make up for any lack of success in their entire lifetimes.

Meh it’s a cycle. There are people who will take every opportunity to dunk on Leafs fans and there are Leafs fans who will use that as an excuse to rub it back in their faces when the team does well.
Those people in return will be happy to return the favour when things don’t go well.

Both blame each other and it will continue forever lol.

I don’t get it. Toronto doesn’t have instigators that get under skin

Toronto also doesn't have the legitimate Stanley Cup contender status, President Trophy wins and the rest of credentials that Vancouver had 10 years past.

Holtby may not start another game for VAN for a while

Demko may have to carry the whole team on his back

he singlehandedly has won them both TOR games and holtby seems to be on the back 9

they signed holtbeast, but demko seems to be making him expendable just as he did Markstrom
Demko has always thrived under heavy workload and we have a very friendly schedule going forward, we got are shit part out early.
The plan was always for Demko to be the #1 it's the reason Marky wasn't re-signed.
Holtby was brought in as a safety net and to be exposed in the draft. Dipietro should be ready the same time Holtby is done or possibly Silov who looked good in his AHL debut.

Vancouver has some solid pieces surrounded by sooooooooooo much trash

I think they could be good if some of these young guns weren't already tasked with carrying some of these veteran scrubs on their backs.
Aside from Rousell the vets have been fine, Sutter, Myers, Edler have been quite good.
