They had 4 games of up, and then just downs. It's insane to suggest otherwise. If it wasn't for Ottawa being hilariously inept, the Devils would be the biggest goats of the season.

And montreal. Currently out of a playoff spot. Would sit in a divisional seed in the west no matter which division they were in.

When youre talking about playoffs, the atlantic is the best division in the league by a wide wide wide margin.

That was a much different Sharks team. They were struggling at that time. Vlasic was playing the worse hockey of his career, EK65 wasn't himself, Jumbo was still recovering from his recent knee surgeries. Lines were still being shuffled around, it was changing on a daily basis including the D pairings. etc etc.
