No. My point is that it’s infantile behaviour from both sides and that most people would rather watch hockey than watch them make themselves look foolish to 29 other fanbase by taking shots at each other’s.

My comment was more tongue in cheek about how there will likely be more animosity between the 2 fan bases than the actual teams.

So, yes in the grand scheme of things, yes, you would be correct... Probably.

More likely it has to do with Bergevin's completely idiotic gamble on using Drouin at C, and adding actual Cs like Kotkaniemi and Domi this year. And Peca.
And not playing Alzner.
And Plekance retiring.
And waiving DLR.
And not playing useless players like Hudon.
And adding actually competent assistant coaches.
