In regulation yes. But in general, the Oilers did beat the Pens in a shootout in 2015-2016 season.

I agree. Crosby can still be right there with him at times, but McDavid seems to be at that level every single shift.

Oilers need some people around him. If he’s not on the ice, it’s a horror show for them.

On track to miss the playoffs for the 12th time in the last 13 seasons.

How. How can a team with so many high, high draft picks, with the current greatest talent on the planet..how can this team be on track to misss the playoffs for the 12th year out of the last 13 years? How?

If someone told you, “so and so team is going to draft this many top 10 picks, this many 1st overalls including a generational talent, but they’ll miss 12 of 13 playoff appearances” before it happened, not one person would believe this could be possible.

Mario labored in relative obscurity for 4 years before the Pens had talent around him to begin the cup runs. McDavid and Oilers have some nice pieces and need to allow the young forwards to mature. Oilers need a third center badly.
