Because puck luck is unfair, they will probably lose just because of that.

The hockey gods are cruel.

Just because a team played a back-to-back doesn't mean they should get almost run out of the building. Teams win after playing back-to-backs all the time.

Wings need to start winning some of these gimme games.

The Oilers aren't playing badly but the Ducks are just better. I think they're playing a lot better than they did yesterday at least.

Just like the Leafs did! They don't ask how, they ask how many...

Leafs were playing a back to back. Of course Detroit looked better. They should have beaten a tired team.

They almost did. And teams have won coming off a back to back before. Like I said, kudos to the Leafs and especially to Reimer. Don't think some of the chest thumping is necessary.

Is this his first call-up of the year?

No he was up all season until recently. DSP was working better at center and we had no room on the roster with players coming back. They called him up again when Perry went down. He wants to stay this time.

The reiminister stood on his head. Unreal performance. Guys looked tired and one of the worst games all season. Lucky to get the 2 pts.

Just popped into my head while typing this... I don't think Clarkson took a penalty all game! Waaaaaaaat

A friendly reminder:

The main purpose of this GDT is to allow neutral fans to discuss tonight's games together.

If you are a fan of one of the teams playing, your team board should be your first option for discussing the game with other fans of your team.

This is NOT a thread for trying to win a snark war against the opposing fanbase. Take that stuff elsewhere, preferably to PM or another website.

Could Boyd Gordon being out have something to do with it?

Good point. And Petry was in the box too. It just seemed strange to have Hall out there since I've never seen him as the type of player that would kill penalties well. I think I remember him killing penalties against the Sharks too so it's probably because they're short on PKers.

If the Oilers placed Schultz on waivers would a team claim him at this point?

He has been brutal and his agent thinks he should be paid like Subban.

I used to defend the kid but man..

That was a pretty sorry final 10 minutes comeback bid.

Don't know how that was only a 1-goal win for the Ducks.

Fasth was pretty good, but a lot of missed opportunities. Rakell and Bourque had a bunch of chances between the two of them, and had no finish.

Fasth had a solid game. He gave his team the chance to win but they couldn't get the goals.

That Zetterberg pass on the goal tonight was disgusting. Would have been nicer if Jurco buried it though
