Pens got 4 penalties next to Avs 1 and they are still crying about reffing.

it's not about number of penalties, but getting the calls right. missing the slewfoot and putting the game out of reach wasn't exactly great

That MacKinnon empty netter was his first goal without Rantanen assist attached to it.
There was a missed call at the end there for sure but let's not act like MacK and Rants didn't have a few Pens going wake boarding off their backs a few times this game. Their was missed calls both ways but the Pens definitely got the better of the officiating tonight with 4 PPs to the Avs 1.

Which is scary that he's really just starting to get going, for most of the season it's been Mikko driving things, but the past few it's been MacKinnon.

Right, so maybe if Pens were called for bunch of hooks they put on MAc and MR they would get that call at the end of the game. 5:1 would be too damn obvious.

I don't see any reason the refs should make calls based on what calls they made earlier in the game. if something's a penalty, call it
That's because Colorado is GOAT place to live while Pittsburgh is....well....not. Cheers buddy on not being in a playoff spot and losing the way you lot did.

I think one of the biggest, and most unmentioned, reason is Bednar. He had a whole month to prepare the team going into the '16-17 season after Roy bailed and the locker room wasn't exactly a positive environment. I think after Duchene got traded, the rest of the team bought into his system.

Denver has been a hot pot of out of towners since the weed legalization. It's almost scary how much out population jumped. Pittsburgh and Blackhawk fans are in high abundance here. That's for sure.
Agreed. Making the right calls is in the best interest of everyone but forgive us for not showing much sympathy when there were several other instances in this game where a call should have been made but the whistle was pocketed. There were calls missed on both teams tonight but the fact of the matter is that the Pens got the better of it right up until the very end.
