We hope so. Flames fans are understandably cautious after the carousel of crap since Kiprusoff retired, but Rittich has really taken up the mantle so far this season.

Using just goal differential (and believing it's a strong indicator of season-long team success) I have to believe the west's wildcard teams WILL be Minnesota and Dallas with single-digit negatives.
Anaheim's -26 is incredibly bad sitting just outside the wildcard and Vancouver/Edmonton/St Louis/Arizona all have -12 or worse. Nearly the end of January now, and unless a major deadline trade happens to change any of the teams' fortunes (which is rare) it's hard to see anyone making up ground. It's a tough league and 4 points might as well be the Grand Canyon.
