======================
I've had an idea. Let's decide who the greatest players in Avalanche history are.
  • You decide what "greatest" means.
  • Only judge players based on their Avalanche careers. This means no extra points for Sakic's time with the Nordiques, or Ray Bourque's time with the Bruins.
  • Poll will be open for a few days.
  • Each time you vote, suggest a player who should be added for the next round.
  • If there's no consensus on who should be added I'll just pick the next player who's played the most games.
  • Here's a list of everyone: Colorado Avalanche all-time player list at hockeydb.com

I guess De Vries and then Wolski, even though it's really the other way around. Ryan Wilson even being an option is pathetic.

Screw it, add Zadorov by now.

Wolski for me. Whatever else he was, he was above all an amazing shootout artist.

I already made your voodoo doll. prepare for the worse.

voted obviously in Ryan bamf Wilson. add... wait a minute. "Up next will be the best body checker in Avalanche history." but Rob Blake is already ranked?! okay okay, I got it. Big Z deserves to be in the pools. no argument there. personally I think Sheriff is taking waaaaay too long to be added though.

Yeah, at least one of the two should be added.

It really would have been nice to see what Wilson would of done. He was starting to go right down the road of being Hjalmerson, but more physical. I don't have a problem with him being on there. Our collection of pathetic when it comes to D that played for this team is what is really impressive. We could probably get to 50 on that straight away.

I dunno about Hjalmarsson, but I think Wilson could realistically have gone down the history as another Gudas or even Manson caliber player and path. its so damn unfortunate he had to quit NHL so early because of the injuries.

hey now... thinking about it, I maybe just discovered why I liked Wilson so much: because Mclaren never played for the Avs and I saw on him some sort of replacement for that. lol

Just realised we're on pick 44, and I have voted in every poll, but only for 14 different players in total.

Seems it will be 15 next time around though.
Maybe I'm just weird voting for weird ass players instead of the best ones

Anyone but Brunette voters - it looks like Wolski next and then if we make it through whichever of Lefebvre or Skrastins gets the most votes next time

The real possibility of Budaj, Skouka and Wokski being on this list makes me very sad.

Budaj was about as good a backup as you could ask for. I've got no problem with folks voting for him. In fact, I probably should have myself by now.

I can see your point with Martin and Wojtec though. Puck poise and shootout powers alone do not make one great.
