AJ stays put as far as I'm concerned. He is IMO NHL ready, and should at least be a decent 3rd line grinder. Rest of the guys on this are too new and too raw. I'm not ready to rank Kamenev ahead of him, not yet.

Last post from McMetal. Toninato played in the NHL in the season he turned 24(birthday in March).

Tough, tough call, but I have to go with Shvyrev over Kamenev. Upside wins the day in the end, even though I really like Kamenev and think he'll cement an NHL spot early in the season.

Toninato's not eligible due to age, going with the rules that we've used in previous years. It was a tough call but I wanted consistency with the polls we've done before.

For me, add Kovalenko now that Wiess is in.

Kamenev is NHL ready and next few selections will be a dropoff.

Shyvrev, Greer and Lewis are low risk picks that hope to be NHL players.

Add Morrison...good defensively with an excellent Wrist shot, but nothing else. Hoping he can be serviceable.

My top-6 would be just like the voting has gone, except with Kamenev 2 slots higher (barely edging above Bowers, who may have more upside but also more uncertainty). I am really hoping Vlad bounces back strong this year. Hope the lost year doesn't de-rail him.

It's been several years since I voted in one of these, but my recollection was there often were about 10 options.
