Again...Hart needs to be added as he has only played 31 games.

Read the above statement..... Goalies is 30 games.

He's already played a full season in the Nhl, and should not be considered a prospect.

Colorado.

Add Edmonton, our D prospects are easily top 5 in the NHL and decent goalie prospects. Forwards not so great but Benson and Lavoie are definitely future NHLers, Benson likely makes the jump this year.

I agree they have a solid prospect pool. Will be added in the next poll.

If we had better forwards outside of Benson and Lavoie we’d for sure be top 10.

Like 4 of 5 our top prospects are D men:
Bouchard
Broberg
Samorukov
Benson
Jones

That’s not even mentioning Bear or Lagesson who both had really good years in Bakersfield.

Outside of Colorado I’m not sure which team has a better group of D prospects.

I personally have them 4th in the League.

Colorado 1st with Byram, Makar, Timmins, Helleson, Meloche, Zhuravylov.
2 very elite pieces, followed with a few solid ds.

NYR #2 - K'Andre Miller, Nils Lundqvist, Adam Fox, Yegor Rykov, Libor Hajek, Matthew Robertson, Ryan Lindgren, Tarmo Reunanen, Zac Jones, Brandon Crawley, Sean Day and so on.
New york is absolutely loaded. Crazy Depth of guys who can make the bigs with elite pieces.

Chicago - Adam Boqvist, Henri Jokiharju, Nicholas Beaudin, Lucas Carlsson, Alex Vlasic, Ian Mitchell, Chad Krys and Jakub Galvas.
I can see reasons for both sides. I just prefer the overall depth of Chicagos pool.

We agree on Colorado at number 1, for me and maybe I’m being a homer but it’s our incredibly deep talented D men that pushes us over the other teams.

With guys like Jones, Bear, Lagesson, and Persson (who has shredded the SHL the last couple years) at 4-7 is unmatched. Guys like Caleb Jones and Ethan Bear would be the top D prospect or second best D prospect for a number of teams.

I know you’re a big prospects guy and I respect your views and enjoy chatting with you, do you honestly think anyone 1 through 7 matches that? I have Colorado first because Makar and Byram are so clearly elite #1 D prospects and that trumps depth but the others it’s a tougher case to make.

Did not find the reason of the different cutoff. Seems odd. edit: full season? got called 3 games before Christmas with 38% of games already played.

Colorado, I can see the argument for Rangers at 1. To me the high end guys matter most. Depth matters but not nearly as much. You just cannot beat Byram and Makar on D, and Newhook and Kaut aren't too bad either.

Solid post. You clearly have a solid understanding of your team and its prospects.

According to my criteria Persson is ineligible due to being 25.

I believe the only team that matches it's depth and betters it is the Rangers.

As for their depth.
Adam Fox, a top defence who scored 48pts in 33 games as a 21 year old for Harvard. He was a NCAA hobey baker finalist and the player of the year of ECAC
K'Andre Miller, 2018 1st round pick, who put a great season for Wisconsin.
Libor Hajek, Nils Lundkvist, Ryan Lindgren, are very solid defenseman in their own end how have been progressing well. They are all former second round picks.
Yegor Rykov was solid in the KHL as a 21 year old.
Nicholas Robertson, a prospect touted to potentially be a late first this season.
Zac Jones average almost a PPG in the USHL
Tarmo Reunanen put up a solid season in SM Liga with 25 points in 58 games as a 20/21 year old.
Sean Day, Brandon Crawley, Joey Keane, Calle Sjalin and Jacob Ragnarsson shouldn't be written off either.

Anyways overall,

I can see them third overall. I really like Bouchard, all though he is heavily criticized on HF. Samorukov looked excellent in the O this season both in his own end and offensively. Jones, Bear, Lagesson should be Nhl players soon. Broberg will be an interesting player to see progress. Lastly I also like Niemelainen's tools.

Dew drops and rainforest
Makar - Byram > Romanov - Brook, - but

Caufield - Poehling - Suzuki > Kaut - Newhook - Bowers

Colorado wins due to the elite talent on D, but I think Montreal has more a balanced pool positionally than the Avs.

I agree, but the gap between their D and ours is bigger then the gap between our Forwards and theirs. I would also take Primeau over any of their goalie prospect, but that doesn't make up for the gap on D.

AVs DMen are substantially superior and becomes more evident the deeper the list of players. Makar, Byram, Meloche, Timmins, Helleson. Forwards is a lot closer and would consider the AVs slightly superior.

Caulfied = Kaut
Poehling = Bowers
Suzuki < Newhook

Overall, the AVs simply have better prospects. The difference would be even greater if they didn't graduate so many youngsters.
