Only tough series for me was MIN over FLA.

Also damn at Colorado losing that triple OT Game 7 matchup.

It was a fun run!
Flames are my pick to possibly win it all. got my vote as well.:thumbu:
Minny is pretty stacked also
beautiful line up!
The depth is solid, Skinner I know people are hard on him, but is still a hell of a player.
Goaltending is elite, with a strong defense, especially on the left side.

Looks like these aren't really close. I'll wait for ~10 more votes.

Round 4 will be internal and the finals will go to the main boards.

Detroit Red Wings vs Pittsburgh Penguins, line by line
  • First line
    • Kessel performs like a second- to third-line tweener
    • Detroit has no clear F3 unless you're making Tkachuk do everything
    • Blake Coleman is an elite shutdown forward forward playing F3/F3 on this line, which gives CONNOR MCDDAVID and Jake Guentzel even more room to weave magic
    • McDavid-Guentzel is the best pairing in the entire game
  • Second line
    • Nugent-Hopkins' value comes from playing on the left wing--he's shown over the past two seasons that he can't produce the same way if he centres his own line
    • Who's F3? RNH?
    • Tatar has had a phenomenal season while Williams can clearly still play, which leaves Soderberg--who was a good 2C for the Avalanche last year and did alright for the Coyotes this year--to play to his strengths, which is an F3
  • Third line
    • Detroit tried to gear this towards scoring
    • Unfortunately, Pittsburgh's scoring from this line overwhelms it
    • While Hintz may be the best player of the six, Leivo and Roy more than offset this
  • Fourth line
    • Great, it's an attempted shutdown line with fourth line players that features that mighty Trevor Moore and Carter Rowney
    • My fourth line shits all over it
  • First pairing
    • Hamonic is f***ing garbage, and Morrissey struggled this year
    • Giordano and Vatanen complement each other's weaknesses perfectly
    • Giordano is the best player here
  • Second pairing
    • Even if you think Faulk is a sieve (which he hasn't been this year), it is nothing in comparison to how porous Ristolainen is
    • Vince Dunn is the best player here
  • Third line
    • He has f***ing Cholowski and Engelland
    • Borowiecki and Poolman both had better seasons than these guys
  • Goaltending
    • Hellebuyck is phenomenal
    • So is Rask
    • It's a wash

Literally the only reasons to be voting for Detroit are these:
  1. You are DatsuykianDekes
  2. You are bad at evaluating hockey
  3. I offend you through chirping, charts, or both

Was it ConnorMcMullet whose brother is DatsuykianDekes? If so, his vote doesn't count. :)

I must say, I remember really not liking Calgary's team at all and voted Seattle over them round 1, and yet they're still alive thanks to resilience and some good match-ups for their squad lately.

Cinderella.
