Thought this would make voting a bit easier without having to sort through the other thread. Post your roster with your preferred starting lineup and maybe a short description as to why they'd be successful and what their strengths might be, maybe some similarities to actual teams.

Very happy with how the roster turned out.

A very balanced defense comprised of three units capable of playing difficult minutes. Plenty of options to provide offense from the back-end at both even strength and on the PP. Two ten goal scorers this year, which might've been three had McAvoy not been injured. Quality options capable of shutting down the competition as well. Strong, youthful options in the top four.

The forward unit build with depth through the center position. Anze Kopitar is a yearly Selke finalist and finds himself with his current line-mate from LA yet on a stronger top line unit than he finds himself on this year. That second line is very dangerous offensively. Elite level playmaker David Krejci finds himself with two goal-scoring wingers who have each tallied 30 goals respectively once over the past two seasons. Led by Crosby nemesis Brandon Dubinsky, the bottom six provides options to help out offensively while being fully capable of providing physicality to shut down opposing competition. Sam Gagner also adds a weapon on the PP that offers plenty of options.

The goaltending is also a significant strength with a two time Cup-winning starter and a career 0.912 backup. No one's getting overplayed.

All in all, I would see this team as a yearly Cup contender with the young pieces to possibly develop into something more in the future.

Jordan Kyrou - Patrice Bergeron - Mark Stone
Jaden Schwartz - Mika Zibanejad - Conor Sheary
Devin Shore - Travis Zajac - Brian Gionta
Anton Slepyshev - Kyle Brodziak - Matt Cullen

Ryan Suter - Brett Pesce
Nikita Zadorov - Niklas Kronwall
Ian Cole - Ethan Bear

Cory Schneider
Aaron Dell

The offence has a lot of star power, in Stone, Schwartz, and Bergeron. All three of them are some of the best defensive forwards in the league. Zibanejad is also a solid second line centre who could score 60-70 points centering those wingers. We have a good supporting cast with veterans like Gionta, Zajaz, and Brodziak, and some young players like Sheary and Shore. Kyrou is also a great prospect leading the OHL in ppg.

On defence, Suter has over 50 points, and can play huge minutes. Pesce doesn't put up too many points but can shut down most players. Zadorov and Bear are both young and have room to grow.

In goalie, Schneider and Dell are both solid goalies who can compete for the starting job.

I tried to build the Rangers as a fast straight line kind of team. Crosby, Keller, Grabner, Boedker, Leipsic are some of the quickest players in the league. I feel like Nurse - Parayko is a 25 minute a night shutdown pairing for the next 8 years. Both big guys who can skate and move the puck. Martinez - Faulk are both #3 defenseman with easier minutes and should be able to thrive. Keller and Crosby would be one of the best duos in the league. Another deep team with two goalies capable of being starters for security in net. I think this team would have very good special teams as well.
