Lauzon.

IMO he showed he could play with the big club when they needed him last year. Logged MONSTER minutes in a few games and didn't look out of place.

I guess the question is ceiling. Top 4/Top 6? Any offensive upside? I couldn't tell you. But I like the little I've seen from the kid thus far.

Now just stay healthy!

All aboard the Oskar Steen hype train. Speedy RW/C who plays with an edge. Put up great numbers as a 20/21 year old in one of the better professional leagues in the world. He can play in all situations.

I think he's a dark horse to make the roster but if he goes to providence, I think he impresses.

I think this will be Beecher with relative ease. He is the latest highest pick, had hype generating plays in the last few days and there's no prospect hyped enough to get a good chunk of the fanbase to vote for him (as in a few like Lauko, a few like Lauzon, etc...)

Glad Axe was around for this one, he gets my vote. Top-8 in scoring in the SHL at 20 is no joke.

"Axelsson, according to assistant general manager Scott Bradley, “banged the table’’ when Steen was still available in the sixth round of this year’s draft in Buffalo. All of which was news to Steen, who called it “my life’s dream’’ to be drafted by an NHL team.
“I hadn’t talked to P.J. before the draft, so I was a little bit surprised,’’ said Steen. “He phoned me after the draft and told me he felt he was very lucky to get me in the later rounds and that he thought it was a nice pick — he was happy to get me. I know his career. I watched him when I was a child.’’
What sets Steen slightly apart right now, said Axelsson, is his offensive ability. He sees parts of his own game in the young prospect, but believes Steen has better hands, making him a better passer, better shooter, and with overall greater offensive upside." This may surprise some, but I’ve gone w Steen here. I feel like he’s got a high floor and might have a high ceiling; of course based on limited viewing and what I think I know.

Beecher is new and shiny, had a great weekend, and plays an important position. You would also think that on skills and his usage with team USA alone his floor is a Kuraly type.

Lauzon I think is the safest bet. He is a sure firer NHLer and probable 2nd pairing guy.

Steen is kinda the hipster pick, but a good one. Production in a mens league at a young age and projectable to play in the bottom 6 if his skills don't play up.

Lauko is another good name. Had a good playoffs and also can play in the bottom 6 is he doesn't hit upside.

Goalies are scary and I have no idea how to tell if they are good or not anyway.

Going to go with Lauzon if only because I have seen him play more than the other ones combined :).... but also because he has done it in the NHL.

In these polls I usually favor prospects with the highest upside because we don’t know for sure if any of them will reach their potential. That’s why I went with Beecher here. With his speed and tenacity I think he has 50+ point potential in the NHL. I see Lauzon as a potential 2nd pair anchor so it’s close, but I give the potential top 6 center the edge.

Great to read that Beecher had a seemingly terrific weekend, even more importantly IMO is that from the little I know about the program in Michigan, it`s apparently a terrific program to join and develop his game with

Same. I think it’s much less certainty, but all of the tools are there for Lauko to be a top 6 60 point guy who plays a physical hard working game. He gets my vote because of the tools. Would love to see him put it all together!

Went with Beecher, probably from recency bias, but I have 5 or so prospects in this next tier that I'm tentatively putting him at the top of.

Me too, plus he’s already sniped one past Holtby! He has an exciting style with his speed, seems like a good guy too. It’ll be interesting to see how many points he puts up in Providence.

Lauko is probably the player that I'm most excited about in seeing his development. Imo he has the most offensive potential more than any other prospect including Studnicka. Is that in itself a good thing?...I don't think so imo more of a reflection on how shallow the bruins prospects are offensively

I went Beecher.

Kinda wish he were going CHL next year.

Not getting PP time for the usndtp and then playing gladiator hockey against significantly older guys full shield isn’t an ideal path imo I’d rather he work on scoring.

See three guys i think look good to project as high end 3rd liners

And 2 guys risky to gamble on as top of the roster star players

Honestly if i made this choice 100 times all 5 guys might fall in slot 3 twenty times each but this time im going to go with trent federic
