wiley sherman off to a big lead - not too many surprises that i can see so far.
i'm a kuhlman guy, think he's gonna play NHL games this year at some point.

so far it looks like the main race is for #25, with 4 guys owning decent leads already.
@Dom - OHL 's guy mcfaul is in a dogfight with cameron hughes and pavel shen.

Idk what to really think about him but Connor Clifton had a good season for a 23 year old first year pro at the AHL level last year. Played top pairing if not top-4 if I'm not mistaken. 13 points in 54 games with a +11 on the season. Tough to get a true read of him but he might be an under the radar choice for me.

With 4 guys so far ahead, why not do a showdown for the #25 spot between McFaul, Kuhlman, Shen, and Hughes. You could even toss Pare in there as he has 9 votes.

not a bad idea, let's see how it shakes out when the 7 day voting period ends.

im going to guess anton blidh has played more nhl games then everyone else left in this pole might play combind for the rest of their careers...

that said I have seen a few people suggest willie Sherman might have a chance to pull an Andrew alberts and end up playing some...

ill vote those 2... cant really offer an opinion on the others other than to say the odds are deeply against them

this poll will close up on sunday afternoon and we'll probably start one for the cluster of guys around #25. i'll also post up a separate thread for full discussion on the list.

My personal opinion is this:

The goaltenders should be back-to-back-to-back. I think it's way too soon to have one guy ranked 6 spots higher then the other two.

Khokhlachev and Gabrielle are too high and McFaul should be on the list (unless you are holding him back because you think being 5 - 6 years away is an issue).

BTW on McFaul. He won't be heading to Cedar Rapids of the USHL for one season before he heads to the NCAA. He is back in Pickering at the Panthers training camp in the OJHL and it looks as though he's going to finish his final Junior year with the Panthers. And that's fine in my books.
