He doesn't have to do any of this and I'm sure it takes a great deal of time and effort to put it all together. We really should all be more grateful of what francis does here.

Plenty of us are. And a ton of us have been around since V1. We know he gets busy with teaching and everything so often.

Adam Papousek will go down in history as one of the most decorated and probably the best defenseman in hockey. He was simply a beast. Not only was Papousek very physical, he had elite caliber vision. He always knew where people were and was able to get them the puck. He was relentless with his stick and the best power play quarter back you could ask for. One of his best qualities is that he was extremely loyal to the Chicago Blackhawks organization. Giving them many years as their best player and their leader. Looking back Papousek will be proud of all his individual awards but I'm sure he'd want to add to his 1 Stanley Cup. That was the biggest hole in his resume is that he couldn't get it done more than once. That being said he stuck it out in Chicago when they had some very hard times. There is some argument that Papousek is one of the best players created. I definitely think he rivals Will Locke and Samuel Borgstrom and Mike Gill. We'll have to see at the end of it all. However this is no question about the impact this Czech Republic player had on the game. He was transcendent.

Wooooooooo!!!

Great recap, great career, thanks, francis! And guys, at least 1 ring is really important for me. There are many players without ring. I have.

18x James, 15x Hart, point over game as a Dman... Holy motherf***er! Crazy!

Scott Escobar is your prototypical assist man. For the majority of his career he was on the second line and his numbers reflect that. His career wasn't overly spectacular but he was a reliable center. There were flashes of brilliance for this American forward as he was able to put up 70+ points on multiple opportunities when given the chance. Coming out of junior I think there was a lot of expectations for Escobar because he was just so dominant. However he never really reached his full potential.

Kurigo Makise was honestly one of my favourite players to watch during V7. He was small in stature but he was a beast on the ice. A pure offensive dynamo who was able to score at will. Coming out of the USHL, many scouts believed he would be a special talent. However there were major concerns about his lack of physicality and if that would transfer well to the College Game and the NHL. His 1 year at Michigan wasn't anything spectacular but he had a solid year there. Really honing in his defensive game so he could be ready for the NHL. He had 41 points in 33 games. Really making a statement that teams made a mistake by letting him drop to 12th in the draft the year before. I've always believed that Makise could have had a better career if he wasn't on such poor teams. Carolina really did nothing to help him win a championship and the same with Dallas. A lot of his talent was wasted on mediocre teams. But never the less he continued to score at will. Makise was entered into the hall of fame and will go down as one of the best Asian NHL players to ever do it.
