Fun fact, Carolina had shot the second most goals (277) behind Colorado (278) and missed the playoffs. Hendrik and Nathan doing a great shop but the backend looks Swiss cheese.

damn Jankovic gets one game away from winning the cup with his hometown team before winning it all with the Wild in his last season. He wasn't really more than a 2nd liner but he had a good ride.

The end of an era. Here is to the first retiree of the V15 series. Jannik Nikolajsen had a great career! He was an integral part of the Seattle Kraken organization and their long time captain. While he never won many major awards, he was just a reliable player who was able to have a solid offensive output. In Seattle he was a pass first guy. He was a set up man and had incredible vision. He would look to find the open man and excelled at setting plays up. He never cracked more than 69 points, Seattle as an organization was a low scoring organization. I wish he and Connor Bedard were able to do more together! However for being a European free agent signing Nikolajsen brought a lot of stability to the organization. Towards the end, he began ring hunting and tried to sign in places where he could help win a championship. I'm glad he was able to win one right at the end in Minnesota!

What a career it has been for Vincent Jankovic. The USA/Slovak product was a quietly effective player. He wasn't the biggest player in the NHL. He may have actually been the smallest player in NHL history, but boy could he pack a punch in the biggest of situations. He was a highly sought after undrafted prospect coming out of college. He was a leader with the new Long Island University program and helped them to establish a team that could compete in the NCAA. He was able to help them gain entry to the NCAA tournament in 2022/23 after winning an ECAC championship. He then moved on to the Arizona Coyotes where he had a mediocre role playing behind Clayton Keller for most of his career. However he was still a key contributor. He had his best and greatest seasons in Arizona during his last two years there, where he put up 74 and 83 points respectfully. Jankovic is a passing playmaker who was pretty effective up until his last season. He is Mr. Slovakia helping Slovakia capture an olympic medal in 2030 which is a huge accomplishment! He was able to finish off his career in back to back stanley cup finals, in 2035 with the New Jersey Devils where he lost and then in 2036 with the Minnesota Wild where he won. Congrats to him on a fantastic career!

Gaudreau finally represented Canada at something.

OG Gold and OG All-star team to add to his resume. Looking at the amount he signs for (and points production on a bad team), he probably has a few years left. Will be interesting to see how it ends.
