Is issuing the following notice to all league gms:

For the right offers Carolina is willing to BLOW IT UP however needs young (high skilled) NHL players or near ready high end prospects to do so. Everything is available for the right offer including Kucherov, Kessel, Hedman, Hellybuyck, etc. We are looking at building around Kaprisov for next season.

This does not mean I will tear it down just because, if I’m not offered a deal I love I won’t take it just cause and instead will pivot and load up since my lineup is so old. Depends whether the rebuilders or contenders give me better deals first. Whether it’s today or a month from now there’s no rush. Just know, EVERYTHING is on the table and I’m willing to take this roster in either direction but WILL NOT stand pat. Will be one extreme or the other.

Need 50%+1 of the teams to overturn a trade so 10 teams needed to vote no in this case. Won’t get to 10 now. I get why it looks lopsided today but in 2-3 years it will look lopsided the other way.

Remember Boston’s GM also traded a first round pick for Kris Russell and nobody complained then LOL.

IMO the Rangers, Devils and Florida are the faves with a strong push from Tampa Chicago and Buffalo. And there’s always a team that surprises.

Injuries are critical. Malkin just went down long term. That hurts.

Anyway we have a good start to the pool, lots of intriguing story lines.
