Hey, so, I'm sorry I was such a thorny, arrogant asshole all last year.

Nothing more to add. I've been struggling with some serious depression issues. I know I've virtually headbutted a lot of you as days have gone by. I guess a year later, I realized I'd rather have commonality in the name of the Jets being kick-ass.

So, sorry for being a vainglorious and thorny narcissist.

Go Jets go, that is all :P see y'all in October, yeah?

No worries, I'm guilty at times of the same. I hope you are feeling much better and continue to make strides with your depression!

Sorry to hear about your struggles. I didn't think you were anymore narcissistic or wrong than any of us.

If you're a person "of a certain age" like I am, you'll know who Howard Cosell is. Then, you'll also know how he's one of my heroes :P

I mean, I have repeatedly shared my haiku thread and my limerick thread from the shitty years of the Jets years ago. I mean it though. I love you all. Even the people I've chest-thumped and yelled at in loggerheads; @objectiveposter and @HannuJ and @sipowicz know who I'm talking about <3 in twelve months time, when we're celebrating the Jets Cup win and I'm cashing in my ticket on the 100% TOTALLY LEGAL Manitoba Lottery online casino but I can't talk about them even though MLCC is a sponsor and PlayNow SportsBook runs ads and I apparently am not allowed to reference real world betting odds and bla bla bla ANYWAYS

sorry to those guys I named. I've been an asshole in many ways.

Funniest thing, at my job I got promoted to supervisor in October, after I did all the work for all the employees and convinced my boss to give every single person a paid day off in May because I took my vacation that time and wanted to go to Vegas to see them play the Jets in the conference finals. The moment I came back from my vacation I got promoted to one of the managers because not only did I make every employee happy, but I did all the work right for them. That, or they wanted to make me feel better after the Jets loss. All the employees were kind enough to move all my things in for me into my new office, even my signed Scheifele jersey frame exactly where I would've put it.

That's personally why I've been posting less on here, because I've been too busy with my job and travelling for work. I normally only talk Jets in my spare time and that's it.

I absolutely have noticed anything about you to warrant this, but:

If you're dealing with doctors about the depression stuff, as I assume you probably must be to get a diagnosis of any kind, please make sure that they ascertain that it's "only" depression and not actually a bipolar disorder.

My mom was treated for bouts of depression for the longest of time until she got a proper diagnosis. She can be a massive pain in anyone's ass when the manic/speedy phase hits. No wrong gets not taken up. I'm scared stiff to thing what she would be like on internet if she used it.

If your loved ones feel that you get too active at times, it's worth a mention to the docs.

Always enjoy your posts, @AlphaLackey ... at least the ones I read.

thanks Slayer, and to everyone that's been supportive. I've had to make a few lifestyle changes in the offseason, and coupled with the Jets cup win as prophesied by THN :) it should be a good year ahead.

I may need to bookmark this post for a reminder by about 2 weeks into the season :P but optimism is currently high.

Hope you're doing better, calling out your problems is a big step in dealing with them. You're on a good path.

Wait thorny arrogant asshole is kind of my natural state, we're supposed to apologize for that?

Seriously though I'm not the most observant person in the world and didn't actually notice anything was amiss, but I respect it a lot when someone can admit they were wrong, so good on you for that. As for the depression, I'm not going to say I know exactly what you're going through, as people experience it different ways, but I know how hard it can be and I wish you the best in figuring out what works best for you in dealing with it.

i can't speak for those other schmucks you mentioned, but, to me, there are 3 types of posters on here:

-ones who are well spoken and attempt to always put their best foot forward
-ones who don't take this overly seriously
-ones who are legit arsehats on here and in real life

i like to think i slot into category 2. this is sports. can't take it too seriously and lots on here don't seem to realize that, at times, i really don't take this seriously. and if someone's taking it too seriously, i try to use humour and sarcasm as a bit of an alarm to (hopefully) send a wave and have them step back. occasionally, it doesn't work that way and it revs up engines.

hey man, at least you admit that you may have, at times, been a putz. if it makes you feel any better, i don't remember exact things you posted but thanks for remembering your hate for me and apologizing :) :) :)

Depression and anxiety are prevalent in both mine and my wife's families. I could not care less who you may have offended, because you addressing your mental health and making adjustments to your lifestyle to mitigate the depression is by far the more important action.

Wishing you the best on this new direction in your journey.

P.S. I suspect you're not the only depressive posting here. It certainly appears other members may be dealing with mental health and depression; whether they're addressing these issues is a different conversation, however.

Apology accepted.

I was all that too. Bipolaric, alcoholic, irrational, annoying, trolling MF and all, luckily also someway productive and creative.

I do not expect any dramatical changes to that established trend, personally. I neither expect that from anyone else, including you Dear @AlphaLackey

It happens to be so that with Patrik came a lot of Finnish cannonfodder to a central forge of the general process. Fans and such, and alike. We can only apologize as we all have only passive part to this all, but we all came exactly because of that natural force.

There are no drastical difference between average humanities of Northern Plains of Central North America and something so damn remote than Tesoma, Tampere, Finland. If anything, most problems occur when we cannot see that a casual drunk is same for all of us - across some dozens of meridians of the northern latitude.

We all tend to act just as arseholes as our beloved peers out there overseas.

I ask for an apology, not asking it particularly from you, Dear @AlphaLackey
