Playing for a disappointing Ottawa 67's team that was one of the weaker teams in the OHL last season, Calgary Flames rookie Sean Monahan was overshadowed by forwards such as Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin of the Memorial Cup-winning Halifax Mooseheads heading into the 2013 NHL Draft.



San Jose Sharks center Tomas Hertl, the Sharks first round pick in 2012, was the leading scorer for Slavia Praha in the Czech Extraliga last season.

The two young centers are off to fast starts in the NHL this season and share the top spot in the Hockey's Future staff's inaugural Calder Trophy poll for the 2013-14 season.… read more

Monahan doesn't have the surrounding roster that Hertl has.
Wait, are you trying to say that Brent Burns and Joe Thornton are better linemates than Jiri Hudler and Tim Jackman? That's crazy talk!
