So what chu tryin to say about the King honey boo boo?
That since one goalie took a while to get into the hall that the greatest goalie of his generation (except of maybe bobby lu but I think hank is better) is gonna have to wait 20 years

I’ve been a Rangers fan since the late 60’s. In that time I will state that Henrik Lundqvist is the greatest of any player who has worn that jersey as a Ranger.
What I believe is that there will be some resistance in him being a first ballot HOF and this is why I put forth an opinion with what I believe is supporting evidence that he is not a shoe in.

And just to be clear. I own three NY Ranger jerseys. One a Mike Gartner(gift from my niece) and the other two are Henrik ‘s(a Stadium series and a home Blue).
Still waiting for that Nick Fotiu. One day.

You are misrepresenting my views. I never posted that Hank would have to wait two decades to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Only that Vachon had to wait 16 years.

I can be pretty hyperbolic at that times so thats my bad. I just dont see how playoff success (interms of cups) will hurt hanks hof resume, especially considering he is one of the most clutch goalie in the playoffs. I dont think there are many goalies, if any, id take over hank in a game 7 situation.

I am one of the biggest Lundqvist fans but his win totals (and all goalies playing since the shootout was brought in) is a bit inflated. I'd be interested to see what that number is less shootout victories.

I don't even understand why they attribute the goalie with wins in the first place. Last I checked, that was a team stat in the standings.

What's even worse is that a win or loss is determined by which goalie was in net when the GWG was scored so hypothetically, Lundqvist can be in net for a 6-1 lead, is replaced by Georgiev due to injury only to result in the game ending 7-6 which would give Georgiev the win.

I know he's the all time leader in shootout wins, but I don't know what the number is. I believe it's in the 50's.

(Edit) But, let's be honest here, too.

Brodeur has 253 more wins but 445 more starts.
Roy 113 more wins in 208 more starts
Belfour 46 and 142
Loungo 37 in 177
Sawchuck 7 in 150
Cujo 16 in 122

If Lundqvist had those starts and a similar winning percentage to what he's done in his career, he'd be past all of these guys.

And Lundqvist has 63 OTL's as well.

He mentioned "You don't need to have a cup", but had to backtrack on twitter, posting about winning the cup in almost every response. He seems to think Lundqvist has not been very good in the playoffs, citing other goalies like Crawford going above and beyond in the playoffs.

He also asked which player's history Rangers fans would prefer to keep, if only allowed 1: Matteau or Lundqvist?

What do you mean? Is Hank consistent when the team has structure? What a revelation. From Renney to Quinn, you always had a bailout. Unless you want to play a chicken coop system and blame it on the goaltending. Ruh-roh! Bye Vigneault. Thank you for spinning the franchise into a premature rebuild. About the worst coaching I've ever witnessed.

pathetic rule. give the win to the goaltender that deserves it.........not some inconsequential goal that was scored whenever.
