This past April the staff at nhl.com did a 2009 re-draft. They still had Tavares going 1st overall and Hedman going 2nd overall.

I love the time time Hedman played his only not-so-great playoff series of his career and some geniuses started calling him a choker, ignoring the other ~80 playoff games under his belt.

I'm guessing you're referencing the Columbus series. The takes spawned from that series were always pretty ridiculous given that Hedman was playing with a traumatic brain injury.

Might have been Tavares when thread was made but Hedman has surpassed him now and the gap will probably get bigger as time goes on.

Tavares will go probably down as a Sundin/roenick player, Hedman prob goes down in more rarified air for defenseman. he shows no signs of slowing down
