What the hell happened with Svech speed?!? Every game I've watched so far he plays great but his speed kills him... Seems like he is doing squats a day before every single time. In juniors he was McDavid-light I swear for the guy of his weight and height. He could've scored at least 3 more goals, if he be a bit faster on those one on one

I only had a chance to watch the condensed game. I have nothing to add other than coming down to earth a bit seemed inevitable. It’s how we react to adversity that will define us as a playoff team or not.

Won't argue with this. Tampa's been the first team all season that's been able to skate with us all game. Winnipeg had enough talent and a hell of a goaltending performance to be able to overcome, but we outplayed them. We didn't outplay Tampa, though I don't particularly think they imposed their will on us either. Will be interested to see how we do against another wild card caliber team in Colorado coming up. We're 2-0 in those games so far by my count (CBus and Minn).

Seconded. I don't know if I would go so far as to say he was McDavid-light speed, but he definitely looks slower than I thought from previous viewings.

Tampa is also incredibly well coached. RBA struggled to adjust.

I agree he looks slower in the NHL, but that's probably to be expected being only 7 games into his NHL career. OHL to NHL is a giant leap forward in terms of physicality, size, speed, and frequency of games. He's ready for the NHL, but might take longer than some recently drafted 1st or 2nds. I still think he looks dangerous most of the time he's within striking distance, and often makes a great pass to unfortunate line mates.

To me it looks like he's just taking a very hesitant approach to the game, making a deliberate effort not to over-commit to a play until he's sure it's going to work out. It's not common to see him moving at anywhere near his top speed.

He's been chased down rather easily in instances where no hesitation is needed.

i think a couple of his breakaway opportunities came at the end of shifts also, so he was probably gassed

He's an 18yo Russki, they don't gas.

he's almost on nhl backup level still bad and McStarter won all his game its not like if he was having a hard time they could try to roll with him for few game. if he doesnt show up ok you can try to see if mrazek do better but I dont see a reason to not start him right now
Even if they resulted in losses Mrazek earned the two starts in a row.
