It’s roughly six weeks until HBO’s cameras invade the rooms of two of the league’s most storied franchises in a lead up to the NHL’s Winter Classic. The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs are the latest clubs to engage in what will not only be the world’s most attended hockey game in history, but also the accompanying 4-part mini series that has captured the hearts of hockey fans internationally.

Lets trade for Jumbo Joe, he'll make 24/7 more interesting (check out his comments about Hertl's four goals as a recent example..).

For the haters and Leaf fans who don't know Carlyle that well, remember on the road, he likes to play it close. Then ramp it up near the end of the game. Good coaching Randy and good execution by the team!

Colborne for Thornton??????? We'll just tell Bettman that Nonis had his fingers crossed behind his back when he made the deal with Calgary

Also to the poster above me - they film 24 hours a day for the week leading up to the Winter Classic

I thought the 24/7 film crews were in the locker rooms from the beginning of the season.

no they just came during training camp to get footage and then left. they will come back in December.

They are coming back when things start to get closer to the 1st of January, then we will hear more about them, right know we haven't faced Detroit yet, pretty sure we will face them in early December.

Lupul said in a recent interview that the HBO series has motivated the players to perform at their absolute best because of the additional attention the team will garner this season.

Our players already live in a fish bowl. Having one more set of cameras around for a few weeks is nothing.

Yep, I'm pretty sure Carlyle mentioned this aswell. Being in Toronto is probably the best practise for the HBO series.

Cannot wait for the series either!
