For the two of you who care, interesting tidbit about this GDT theme.

Back in the summer of 2017, the movie Spider-man: Homecoming released. Also, Saad became a Blackhawk again (let's not dive into what got him here). So for the 17-18 season opener, I did a theme riffing Saad and SM:Homecoming. It was a perfect match.

Little did I know at that time, Sony and Marvel were planning a sequel to Homecoming, one that would have Spidey tracking around Europe. I also was unaware at that time that the league was going to give the Hawks a game in Prague, one of the locals in the movie. So it only made sense to create a sequel to that GDT, two years later, as this season's opener.

Weird how nicely things worked out. Also, I put waaaayyyy too much thought into making these things....

Also, that other thread was solely responsible for Saad's hatty, so if he does it again tomorrow, Saad/Spidey themes for the rest of the season and I better not hear any complaints.

My bar is a little higher than last year for sure.
Full year with JC at the helm.
Much improved Goaltender duo.
Improved D core with Maatta and De Haan
Improved F's with Nylander, Shaw and Kubalik .... and perhaps if we're lucky Dach.
What's not to be positive about?!
