How can anyone blame the goal tending this year?

Didn't they say last game that the team only scored 5 goals in Bernier's last 7 games or something like that?

The goal tending hasn't been great, but it hasn't been awful.

The problem is that we haven't been scoring enough goals. We don't have enough talent to make it happen and we've got some players playing who probably shouldn't be in the NHL right now.

It's not the sole cause but it's definitely a factor.
I'm not sure the exact # but there has been more than a few goals going between the body and arm from the hashmarks.
That doesn't happen at this level.

Don't worry, as soon as the Leafs try to be good again, the media will tear into them.

Someone has NEVER seen a game

Why would you even bother to type all that up just to get laughed at by the board, and have your credibility vanish into thin air?

YOYO is probably one of more sensible and objective posters when we're discussing hockey, not the bizz.

The media will continue to be terrible because it's what sells papers/page views, expect headlines next year like

"is Nylander playing the game the right way?" "Was Babcock just a passenger on the Wings cup run" "Why isn't Marner playing like Wendel Clark"

Title of your thread should be "The Leafs own the mainstream media". Does Rogers own part of Leafs? Does Rogers own Sportnet? Does Rogers own the nhl hockey contract? Do you really believe that anyone of these TV or radio guys is going to stand up and tell the whole truth? It becomes very difficult to listen to people who are selling what they are told to sell.

That first sentence made my LOL, due to it's truth.
