No guarantee that Vegas selects Brodin or has interest in him at all but I think the Wild would be better today with Haula and Tuch. Olofsson or Reilly would be ok with Spurgeon I'd think.

Brodin is fine, but Tuch in particular would make a guy like Coyle or Nino somewhat more expendable. Now when one of those guys gets traded it's from a position of weakness.

That is my basic math equation. Haula's speed and Tech's size/skill would have helped this team.

Brodin is good, but I'm starting to think he would have been easier to replace.

Thoughts?
Haula was never coming back. Let it go.

If you're asking whether I would make that trade today if Vegas, for some reason, offered. I absolutely would. But there were more moving parts than that at the time.

Not that it matters, but Brodin was on the protected and Dumba exposed on the list submitted to the league. I give Vegas credit for picking Tuch instead of Greenway or Kaprizov.

Also remember how Scandella wasn't important?

Scandella also wasn't good the season leading up to the expansion draft.
