TML trainer and (orthopedic?) doctor joined VGK trainer on ice. Stretcher called for.

Same here. That was hard to watch, and I hated seeing a good player go down like that and be in so much pain.

Nailed it! Exactly what I was thinking after the game. Excepting all the injuries, this is exactly what I expected last season. So the question shouldn't be what's wrong with VGK this season, but rather how the heck did last season even happen?

According to Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, Haula is out ONLY three weeks. There is nothing broken in the knee and it just twisted. Haula was also able to travel to Ottawa with the team yesterday after the game.

That would be amazing if there was nothing broken. Having lived decades of knee injuries myself, it might not be as easy as it seems.

NHLN NHL Live today indicated that it's hard to figure out what's happening until swelling is down.

That said, ligaments and muscles can sometimes heal really slowly (so that you'd hope that it was a broken bone as that's a lot more straightforward for healing).

One extra/healthy forward and one extra defenseman currently on the roster with Haula on the shelf.

With the way his leg twisted, I thought from the beginning he was out for the year. 3 weeks sounded REALLY ambitious.

Month to month still sounds better than ACL or MCL surgery. If he plays before the season is over, we should consider ourselves fortunate.
